We offer a range of Retreats each year through Roy’s Retreat.

Included are a number of One Day Retreats. We encourage spiritual seekers to take time out four times a year to be quiet and still with God. The ‘Praying with the Mystics’ One Day Retreats are designed with this in mind. Each ‘Praying with the Mystics’ Retreats has a focus on one of the great mystics of the Christian tradition. So far we have prayed with Thomas Merton, Teresa of Avila, Francis of Assisi, Therese of Lisieux, Julian of Norwich, Meister Eckhart, Ignatius of Loyola and Catherine of Siena. In 2011 we will pray with John of the Cross (Autumn), Hidegard of Bingen (Winter), Charles deFoucauld (Spring) and a range of Christian Mystics during Advent (Summer).

The annual ‘Prophet School’ Retreat is held for those seeking to marry the ‘active’ and the ‘contemplative’ dimensions of the Gospel. Each year the ‘Prophet School’ is run over a weekend in Adelaide and both residential and non residential options of registration are available. The 2009 ‘Prophet School’ was led by Jesuit Priest and Nobel Peace Prize nominee, John Dear SJ. The 2010 ‘Prophet School’ was led by Australian prophet Donna Mulhearn, who among other things, was a human shield during the Iraq War.

We also offer Retreats in Daily Life, where people who can’t get away to a residential Retreat can undertake a Retreat as part of their everyday life of work or family commitments. We offer the ‘Full Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola’ as a 30 week Retreat in Daily Life. We also offer the ‘First Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola’ as a 30 day Retreat in Daily Life. To do either of these Retreats in Daily Life you would need to commit to an hour of prayer each day for either the 30 weeks or the 30 days, depending which Retreat you register for. You would need to meet weekly for an hour with a Spiritual Director who will lead you through the Retreat in Daily Life.
