Governance

Roy's Retreat is an Incorporated Association. Governance of Roy's Retreat is through an ecumenical board appointed annually at the Association's Annual General Meeting in accordance with the association's constitution.

Roy's Retreat receives no funding from churches or any other organisation, but relies totally on donations and self-funding programs.

The current Co-ordinator of Roy's Retreat is Tim Deslandes.  

Tim...

• is a married lay person and father of four
• has extensive experience in retreat work and pastoral ministry
• is committed to walking deeply in his own spiritual journey (however poorly or inadequately)
• is a qualified Spiritual Director and member of the Ecumenical Spiritual Directors Association SA and the International Spiritual Director's Association
• is university trained in the areas of Family Therapy, Theology and Education

Tim has been employed until recently as a Community Development worker where he has served the community of Hackham West, one of Adelaide's poorest suburbs, for the past 14 years.
